2025 Bill Of Assurance Amendment

As many of you are aware, last fall, the MMPOA Board encountered significant financial challenges. The current yearly assessment rate of $90 has remained unchanged for 10 years, and new/rising expenses have placed our community in a very precarious financial position.

Fortunately, many of you recognized the seriousness of the situation, contributing hundreds of volunteer hours and even your own money to help us regain basic solvency. This effort has been a wonderful example of community spirit, but it is not a sustainable solution. Currently, our neighborhood is ill-prepared to handle large or unexpected
expenses, and we are only just managing to cover routine costs, even with volunteers doing all mowing and landscaping work.

To ensure long-term financial stability and preserve our property values, we are asking our neighbors to support an increase in the yearly assessment payment. We must transition back to the more viable hybrid paid/volunteer maintenance model for park landscaping work that was successful in the past, which will require additional funds. Additionally, we must rebuild our PRAF (Property Renovation Assessment Fund) in order to be prepared for large and/or unexpected expenses.

To implement this increase, we need over 50% of our households to agree to the new rate. We deeply appreciate your past support and hope you will consider supporting this measure.

Warm regards,
Your MMPOA Board
